This Privacy Policy explains how Meerkat Media Ltd (“we”, “us”, “Noma Intel”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information through the Noma Intel platform at nomaintel.com and the reporting dashboard at app.nomaintel.com (together, the “Service”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

It covers people who visit websites that use Noma Intel to measure their traffic, visitors to nomaintel.com, people who use the reporting dashboard, and people who contact us.

Visitors to websites that use Noma Intel

For websites that install our measurement tag, we collect information about visits — such as page URLs, referring source, approximate location derived from network information, device and browser type, and on-site events such as clicks, whether an enquiry form was started or completed, and shopping steps such as adding to a cart, checking out and completing a purchase, including the order value. Where a website has a search box, we record the words a visitor searches for, with email addresses and long numbers removed. We apply privacy protections by design:

• IP addresses are truncated and are not stored in full.
• We do not attempt to identify individual visitors by name, and no names or contact details are collected through analytics.
• Apart from site-search words, nothing a visitor types into forms is recorded.
• Small first-party cookies, set by the client’s website and used only in connection with that website, help recognise a returning browser for up to 24 months. A separate cookie marks the client’s own staff browsers so their visits are left out of the client’s figures.
• Analytics event data is retained for a limited period (see section 6).

AI crawler data

Where a client’s site uses our crawl sensor, we record visits by automated crawlers and AI tools reading the site’s pages, together with the technical request context (such as the requesting agent, host, and path). The sensor is designed not to record visits by people. This is used to show clients how AI systems are reading their content.

Visitors to nomaintel.com

This website does not use the Noma Intel measurement tag, analytics cookies or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as your network address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Dashboard users

When an agency or client user is invited to the Service, we collect the user’s name, email address, and the credentials needed to sign in. This is used to authenticate users and control which client data each user can see. If a user connects an advertising or search account, we may also keep the email address of the account used, so the connection can be managed.

Contact enquiries

If you email us, we use your name, email address and message to reply to you, and we keep a record of the conversation.

3. How we use information

• To provide the reporting dashboard and show analytics, search and advertising performance to the agency and client who own the data.
• To have the Seer, our AI analyst, prepare recommendations for the agency from summary figures about a client’s website, search and advertising results (totals and trends, not individual visitors’ records). These summaries are processed by an outside AI service provider (see sections 5 and 9).
• To authenticate users and enforce which client data each user may see.
• To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.

We do not sell personal information or advertising data, and we do not use advertising data obtained through platform APIs to serve or target advertising.

4. Connected accounts

When a client’s advertising or search account (such as Google Ads, Google Search Console or Meta) is connected to the Service, we read that account’s performance data, read-only, to provide reporting and the Seer’s analysis for that client. Noma Intel’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our API data-use disclosure forms part of this policy and sets out what we access from each platform, how we use and keep it, and how to ask us to delete it.

5. How we share information

We share information only as follows:

• Within the account’s own agency/client relationship — data is visible to the agency that manages the client and to that client’s authorised users.
• Service providers — infrastructure and hosting providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations (for example our cloud hosting and database providers).
• AI service provider, which processes the summary figures from which the Seer prepares its recommendations. It receives totals and trends, not individual visitors’ records.
• Legal requirements — where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell data or share it with data brokers. Website analytics data is not shared with advertising platforms and is not used to target visitors with advertising.

6. Data retention

Website analytics event data is kept for up to 24 months. After that, the details that could link visits to a browser or a network connection are removed. Account information is kept for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and operational obligations. Data from connected accounts is kept as set out in our Terms of Service and API data-use disclosure.

7. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including access controls that limit each user to the client data they are authorised to see, encrypted transport, and secret management for API credentials.

8. Your rights and choices

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. You can also ask us to delete it, including data from a connected account. To make a request, contact technology@nomaintel.com.

If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, email us at the same address and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

9. International processing

Our infrastructure providers, and the AI service provider that processes the summary figures used by the Seer, may process data in data centres located outside Australia. Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure the data is handled consistently with this policy and applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notifying account holders.
